Step 1: Open iTunes. Go to “Edit > Preferences.”

Step 3: Then go to Advanced. Ensure that “Keep iTunes Media folder organized” and “Copy files to iTunes Media Folder when adding to library” are ticked as well. Hit “OK”.
Step 4: Connect up your iPod. Click on the device button, go to Summary, and check “Enable disk use” to allow the process to begin.
Step 5: Load the Terminal app on Mac to make hidden folders on your iPod visible.
- Type “defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE” in Terminal. Press “Return.”
- Type “killall Finder” then. Press “Return.”
Step 6: Open Finder and select your iPod from the left sidebar.
Step 7: Double-click on the “iPod Control” folder and then “Music” folder.
Step 8: Select all folders there. Drag the selected folders and drop them to where you want to store the music.

- Open iTunes. Press “Cmd” and “O” keys at the same time.

Transfer MP3 from iPod to Windows
Step 1: Open iTunes. Press “Ctrl” and “,” keys together to open Preferences.

Step 6: Go back to iTunes. Press “Ctrl” and “O” keys together and click on your iPod from the left sidebar.
Step 7: Double-click on the “iPod Control” folder and then “Music” folder.
Step 8: Select all the folders inside “Music” folder and click “Select Folder”. All the music will be copied to iTunes.
